This airport is really special. Because the original runway was so short (1400m), so it had to be extended. The runway extension won the iabse ‘outstanding structures award’ and rightly so: due to an obvious lack of land, engineers have supported the extension on 180 pillars, each 70m high. See that under the runway now is a pretty nice parking lot.
